Eamonn Doherty

Eamonn Doherty has over 20 years of experience in software development. Eamonn began their career in 1997 at Argo Interactive Group, where they worked as a Developer on connecting TV set top boxes to the internet. In 1998, they joined EDS Group as a Developer, working on a large and complex project updating the British Army recruitment service. In 1999, they worked as a Contract Developer at Peppers Ghost Productions. In 2001, they worked as a Contract Developer at DPR Consulting. In 2002, they joined Tranmit as a Senior Developer, leading a mixed onshore/offshore team of 5 developers working on a purchase management system. In 2007, they worked as a Contract Developer at Ultra-SML, where they added the ability to overlay detailed navigational charts with real-time information from a ship’s cameras and sensors. In 2009, they joined Elateral as a Senior Developer, part of a team creating cloud hosted microservices using Domain Driven Development, C#, REST & SQL. Eamonn was later promoted to Development Team Lead, responsible for the architecture and development processes including running the daily scrums, story planning, estimation, retrospectives, and code reviews. Eamonn also onboarded new team members and introduced them to the technology stack.

Eamonn Doherty attended Sheffield Hallam University from 1986 to 1990, where they earned a 2.1 (Hons) in Applied Science.
