Imani Nia's work experience includes various roles in different companies. In 2018, they worked as a Hip Hop Instructor for the Martha Graham Dance Company and as a Hip Hop Course Instructor for the SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance Arts Abroad Program in China. In 2019, they worked as a Movement Director and Choreographer for The Shed (NY) and as a Showroom Coordinator for SWAROVSKI, where they managed administrative tasks and provided support for trade shows and events. Imani also worked as a Coach and Guest Artist for Kyle Abraham/ A.I.M. In 2020, they joined Brandon Blackwood NYC as a Director of Partnerships, and later became the VP of Strategy & Partnerships. Imani also worked as a Wholesale Account Manager for the company. Additionally, they worked as a Branding & Merchandising Coordinator / Assistant to Designer for Brandon Blackwood NYC from 2017 to 2019, and as an Assistant Stylist for did in 2018.
Imani Nia earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree from Purchase College, SUNY, where they attended from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at the Chicago Academy for the Arts from 2007 to 2011, majoring in Dance.
