Dawn Matthews-Smith

Dawn Matthews-Smith has worked in the care industry for over 20 years. Dawn started their career as a care worker and has since worked their way up to Managing Director level. Dawn is currently a Trustee at Brandon Trust, and has previously held positions as Care Homes Improvement Lead at Guild Care, Interim Managing Director at Virgin Care, and Interim Operations Director at Cornwall Care. Dawn has also been Managing Director at Acadability (Care and Support Solutions) Ltd, and Interim Director of Health and Wellbeing (CEO) at The Independence Trust.

Dawn Matthews-Smith has a Master of Science (MSc) in Social Research from The Open University, a Master of Arts (MA) in Social Policy from The Open University, and a PGCE in Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching from the University of Greenwich. Dawn also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Leicester and a Bachelor's degree in Social Welfare from The Open University. Finally, they are a Registered Nursing (RGN) from Somerset School of Nursing.
