Chris Baranec has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology. Starting in 2008, they gained experience as a Help Desk Specialist at Janney Montgomery Scott LLC. Chris then worked as a Senior Network Engineer at Tech Impact, where they were responsible for server migrations. Chris continued their career at the University of Maryland as a LAN Administrator, providing IT support to the Child Support Enforcement Agency. Afterwards, they became a Server Administrator at Hospice of the Chesapeake, managing Microsoft servers and addressing stability issues. Chris then served as an Infrastructure Manager at TBI/Tissue Banks International, where they designed and implemented infrastructure migrations and secured desktop deployments. Chris also worked as a System Administrator at TRACE International, Inc., and as a Cyber Security Engineer and later as a Cyber Security Team Manager at Tech Impact. Currently, they hold the position of Information Technology Security Director at Brandywine Counseling & Community Services, Inc.

Chris Baranec completed a Master's Degree in Information Technology - Information Assurance from the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, Chris obtained a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Delaware in an unspecified field of study in 2001. In terms of certifications, Chris has earned the following: (ISC)2 Security CISSP (ISC2-CISSP) from ICS² in January 2020, CompTIA Security+ from CompTIA in August 2019, CompTIA Server+ from CompTIA in June 2019, MCSA from Microsoft in March 2009, MCSE from Microsoft in March 2009, and Comptia A+ from CompTIA in 2008.
