Lauren Schenkel

Lauren Schenkel started their career at The Vanguard Group in 2008 as an RFP Institutional Sales Marketing Specialist, where they managed the RFP process and provided support for sales in the Large/Jumbo target markets. Lauren coordinated responses to proposals, drafted and updated marketing content, and created complimentary marketing materials.

In 2013, Lauren joined Brandywine Global Investment Management as a Senior International Associate. In this role, they supported the Head of Global Business Development & EMEA and Relationship Managers. Lauren completed RFPs, wrote and edited marketing content, served as a liaison to consultants, and assisted in prospect meetings.

Lauren's responsibilities at Brandywine Global expanded over the years. Lauren became a Marketing & Client Service Team Lead - International, where they restructured the role and training of associates to incorporate sales support. Lauren then became a Marketing, Sales, & Client Service Manager - International, providing oversight and strategic management of client service support staff located outside the US.

In their most recent roles at Brandywine Global, Lauren took on broader responsibilities. As a Global Business Development Manager, they identified areas for strategic alignment across the marketing, sales, and client service groups. Lauren also liased with the parent company to ensure consistent messaging about Brandywine Global's products. Currently, Lauren is the Vice President of Product Marketing, where they partner closely with Distribution and investment teams to develop and track a global marketing plan. Lauren also represents the firm regarding marketing strategy with the parent company and instituted annual sales planning and feedback sessions to adhere to the plan.

From 2004 to 2008, Lauren Schenkel attended the University of Delaware, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. During their time at the university, they focused their studies on Marketing, International Business, and Spanish. In 2010, they enrolled at Penn State University, where they pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration. Lauren completed their studies in 2012.
