Sarah Specht

Sarah Specht is a Technical Service Engineer at Braskem since September 2022, providing technical support and innovation for the polypropylene film segment. Prior to this role, Sarah served as a Catalyst Researcher, contributing to the development of novel catalyst technologies for biomass-to-chemicals processes. Previous experience includes a tenure at PPG, where Sarah held positions as Senior Research Chemist and Research Chemist I, as well as a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, focusing on heterogeneous catalysis for industrially relevant systems. Earlier experience at Boston University involved synthesizing and characterizing new transition metal complexes. Sarah holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Chemistry from Boston University.
