Thomas Cuthbert

Thomas Cuthbert is a Principal Researcher at Braskem since October 2011, specializing in the development and support of diverse polymer technologies. Prior to this role, Thomas held positions as Lead Process Engineer and Senior Process Engineer, contributing to process optimization and strategic developments in manufacturing assets, particularly the Spheripol & UTEC PE processes. Thomas also worked at The Dow Chemical Company from May 2001 to November 2011, initially as a Process Research Specialist focusing on scaling up polypropylene products, and later as a Senior Process Research Specialist. Earlier experience includes a Research Engineer role at Union Carbide, overseeing polypropylene catalyst operations. Thomas earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
