Alex Mihailidis

Co-founder & Scientific Advisor at Braze Mobility

Dr. Alex Mihailidis is a co-founder and scientific advisor at Braze Mobility. Alex is also a professor in the Department of Occupational Science & Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto, and a visiting professor at the Coleman Institute for Cognitive Disabilities at the University of Colorado. Alex has been president of RESNA, an international society for assistive technology professionals, since 2010.

Dr. Mihailidis's research focuses on developing and evaluating new technologies to support independence and community participation for people with cognitive disabilities, including dementia, brain injury, and mental illness. Alex has developed several award-winning systems, including the AI Home System, which was named one of Time magazine's Best Inventions of 2012.

Alex Mihailidis has a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from Strathclyde University, an M.A.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Toronto, and a B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto.

Their manager is Pooja Viswanathan, Co-Founder & CEO. They work with David Beckett - Head, Product Development, Terrence Ho - Head, Partner Success, and Allan Boyd - VP, Business Development.
