James Honour

James Honour is an experienced professional with a background in architecture and building sustainability. Current role as BREEAM Principal Technical Services Specialist at BRE since October 2021 involves overseeing BREEAM International and UK New Construction, Refurbishment, and Fit-out schemes while engaging with customer feedback. Previously, James served as Scheme Manager for BREEAM Non-Domestic UK Refurbishment & Fit-out from January 2015 to July 2020, where responsibilities included scheme updates, development, guidance, and training within the UK construction sector. James's extensive career at BRE includes roles as Senior Consultant from May 2012 to April 2012 and from 1992 to December 2014, focusing on housing energy efficiency. Earlier experience includes architect positions at H.A. Rolls and Partners and GMW Architects. James holds a BA (Hons) degree in Architecture from London South Bank University, completed between 1979 and 1985.
