Alex Ballard

Alex Ballard, MSW, currently serves as the Senior Manager of Organizational Culture and Change and Racial Equity Manager at Bread for the City since April 2022. Previous roles include EMPOWER Manager at CASA DC from December 2020 to August 2022 and Program Manager/Training Lead at Public Allies from October 2018 to December 2020. Additional experience encompasses positions at Youth and Family Services YMCA, Rajagiri College of Social Sciences as a Training Consultant, and Cultural Academy for Peace as a Mental Health Counselor. Early career roles include Lifeguard for the City of Alexandria, Clinical Case Manager at the Office of the Public Defender Maryland, and Family Case Manager at Shenandoah Valley Social Services. Alex holds a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Mary Baldwin University.
