Jeffrey Nelson

Jeffrey Nelson has extensive work experience in finance and operations. Jeffrey has worked as the Director of Finance for Bread for the World since 2013. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Finance and Operations at Windham Public Schools from 2003 to 2013, where they managed various departments and worked on budget development and transparency. Before that, they were the Director of Finance and Personnel at Colchester Board of Education from 1999 to 2003, overseeing financial reporting, budget preparation, and grants management. Starting their career, they worked as a Fiscal Manager at East Granby Board of Education from 1996 to 1999, where they enhanced financial reports and managed employee benefits. Jeffrey Nelson also worked as a National Accounts Service Manager at Liberty Mutual Insurance from 1993 to 1996.

Jeffrey Nelson obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Massachusetts from 1976 to 1980. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Accountancy at Bentley University, where they studied from 1983 to 1987. Prior to their higher education, they completed their secondary education at Brockton High School from 1971 to 1975. In addition to their academic achievements, Jeffrey Nelson earned a certification in School Business Administration from the Connecticut State Department of Education in September 2009.
