Break into the Boardroom (BiB)

Break into the Boardroom (BiB) is a program developed to cultivate executive women board candidates for parity board representation on public, private, and non-profit boards throughout the healthcare industry. The program strives, by design, to be practical, concrete, and measurable. With this in mind, Break into the Boardroom’s goal is to find qualified women, enhance their knowledge of governance fundamentals and match them over time with appropriate board roles. Interested in participating or building out your board? Contact us through our website link! Deerfield and Oxeon founded BiB on a shared belief that their organizations are uniquely positioned to not only cultivate new female board candidates but to also connect these women with concrete governance opportunities. Deerfield and Oxeon focus on identifying talent, building companies, and deploying capital within the healthcare ecosystem, which enables BiB to create the perfect intersection of supply and demand. This framework naturally mitigates the classic chicken and egg problem that has proven such an intractable obstacle to the goal of increasing female board representation. In 2022, BiB welcomed Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe to its sponsorship team and formally embedded the organization within Advancium Health Network, an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization launched by Deerfield Management. Together this newly expanded team aims to broaden the program’s reach by increasing the variety and cadence of its programming and engaging with an ever-widening network of board decision-makers.
