Rebecca Nugent

Rebecca Nugent is a seasoned professional in the field of synthetic biology and genomic research, currently serving as a Venture Partner at Breakout Ventures and Vice President of High Throughput Operations at Tessera Therapeutics since July 2023. Nugent has extensive experience as a member of the Board of Directors for the Engineering Biology Research Consortium and previously held various leadership roles at Synthego Corporation, Twist Bioscience, Sapphire Energy Inc., and New England Biolabs. With a strong academic foundation that includes a Ph.D. in Molecular and Computational Biology from the University of Southern California and a B.S. in Cellular Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan, Nugent has contributed significantly to the development and commercialization of innovative biotechnologies throughout a distinguished career.
