Richard Kim

Richard Kim serves as a Venture Partner at Hashed Emergent since September 2024, focusing on the transition from the platform economy to an ownership economy powered by emerging technologies. Previously, Richard held significant roles at Matter Labs from January 2022 to July 2025 as Head of APAC and Head of Gaming and Consumer, driving the mission of ZKsync to enhance financial freedom through public blockchain adoption. As Chief Business Officer at Changer from 2018 to 2020, Richard contributed to the launch and expansion of Coinduck, the first Ethereum-based payment service, achieving over 1,000 franchises in its first year. Richard's earlier career included serving as Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at Ather Energy from 2016 to 2018, and in leadership roles during a tenure with the Peace Corps from 2010 to 2012, overseeing operations at Maseno Hospital and consulting on eLearning at Maseno University. Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master of Arts in Computing in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and an MBA from the University of California, Irvine.
