Elena Gearheart, SHRM-SCP, is currently the Director of Talent at Breakthrough Central Texas. Prior to this, Elena held positions such as Director, Employee Experience at KIPP Texas Public Schools and Senior Talent Management & Acquisition Specialist at Halliburton. With a background in project management, recruitment, and operations, Elena has experience in various sectors including education, consulting, and talent management. Elena holds a Master's degree in Human Dimensions of Organizations from The University of Texas at Austin.
Breakthrough Central Texas
In Central Texas, only 8% of middle school students from low-income communities will go on to earn a college degree. To combat this inequity, Breakthrough makes a 12-year commitment to help children become the first in their families to graduate from college. Our program focuses on a combination of extended learning, comprehensive advising, and leadership experiences to help students prepare for, persist through, and ultimately, graduate from college. From middle school to high school to college through college graduation, we are there every step of the way. In 2018, Breakthrough will serve more than 1,650 students in Central Texas.
