Stefan Zlatev

Stefan Zlatev is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in investment and engineering across the energy and mobility sectors. Currently a Partner at Breakthrough Energy Ventures since June 2019, Stefan focuses on supporting companies that tackle climate change through innovative technologies. In addition, Stefan holds Board Observer positions at Brimstone, Rondo Energy, and Sortera Alloys, Inc., and serves as a Climate Tech Fellow at On Deck. Previous roles include Investment Associate at Volvo Cars, where contributions were made to revolutionary mobility initiatives, and various engineering leadership positions at Rolls-Royce, including Business Valuation and Engineering Team Leader. Stefan's early career included an engineering internship at NASA. Academic credentials include an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MPhil/MEng in Energy Technologies from the University of Cambridge, and a BEng in Mechanical Engineering with Renewable Energy from The University of Edinburgh.
