Breakthrough New York

Breakthrough New York empowers motivated students from low-income backgrounds to graduate from college and pursue a fulfilling career. Beginning in middle school, we provide the academic preparation, guidance, and mentoring our students need to access competitive high schools. In high school, we focus on skill development, application assistance, and enrichment opportunities to prepare students to gain entry to and succeed in rigorous four-year colleges. We support students during college to ensure graduation and career readiness. Our near-peer relationship model recruits college students as teaching fellows and mentors to support scholars through this ten-year journey while sparking their own interest in education.
