Chay Champness

Chay Champness serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Breast Cancer Now, overseeing business operations and providing strategic financial and commercial leadership. Prior to this, Chay operated a successful consultancy from January 2016 to April 2020, delivering financial and corporate services to various sectors, including education and charity. Chay has held key positions in several educational institutions, including Vice President of Finance & Resources at Guildford College Group and Chief Operating Officer at Croydon College, focusing on financial strategy and risk management. Experience also includes roles as Finance Director at The School of Pharmacy, University of London, and the British Safety Council, as well as an Assistant Director of Finance at The Institute of Cancer Research. Chay began a finance career in the NHS Graduate Trainee program while pursuing professional qualifications through CIMA and ICAEW.
