Haim Rabinowitch

Haim Rabinowitch is Professor Emeritus at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, The Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment, and The Robert H. Smith Institute of Plant Science and Genetics in Agriculture. He previously served as Dean of the Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment, and Rector (Provost) of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His main research interests include physiology, genetics and breeding for yield, disease resistance, quality, flavor and long-shelf-life in tomatoes and in short-day onions. In addition He studies floral and fertility restoration in garlic, seed production: physiology and genetics of pollination and fertilization processes.
