Clive Watson

Clive was appointed to the Board in September 2019 and became the Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee in April 2020. He is also a member of the Nomination Committee, the Remuneration Committee, and the Sustainability Committee.

Clive has considerable finance experience, having previously been the Group Finance Director of Spectris plc, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President for business support at Borealis, Group Finance Director at Thorn Lighting Group, and held a variety of finance roles at Black & Decker. In 2019, Clive retired as a non-executive director of Spirax Sarco Engineering plc, where he was Chair of the Audit Committee and Senior Independent Director. Clive is both a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Chartered Institute of Tax with significant finance experience in a variety of industries which allows him to continue to support the Board with its long-term success.
