Alex Ayres

Alex Ayres is an experienced finance professional currently serving as Finance Director for Corporate Finance at Bregal Investments since April 2024, overseeing global corporate finance teams in London and New York, and enhancing financial reporting accuracy. Prior to this, Alex held several significant roles at AssetCo plc from July 2020 to March 2024, including Head of Finance and Finance Director post-acquisition of River and Mercantile. Key achievements at AssetCo include migrating subsidiaries to a single finance platform and effective integration of Ocean Dial Asset Management. Earlier career highlights include serving as VP - Head of Financial Control for EMEA at Neuberger Berman and European Financial Controller at Janus Henderson Investors, with a strong track record in statutory reporting, regulatory compliance, and team management. Alex holds a BSc in Management from Royal Holloway, University of London, and is a member of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
