Justin Butler

As Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer, Justin is responsible for defining and implementing standards for risk identification, management, measurement, monitoring, and reporting. Additionally, he is accountable for establishing the appropriate risk appetite for the enterprise as approved by the Board of Directors. Justin’s team provides independent oversight and guidance for managing to exist and emerging risks, including the deployment of cloud-based utilities. His team leads efforts to build and sustain a strong culture in which all employees understand the importance of managing risk to serve the customers and communities.

Prior to joining Bremer in 2022, Justin spent almost two decades working at various Fortune 500 companies in finance, strategy, and risk management. Justin graduated from Saint Louis University with a Bachelor of Science in accounting and earned his executive MBA from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
