Meghan Brown

Meghan Brown has served as chief people and culture officer for Bremer since 2014. Meghan believes in the transformational power of meaningful work and is known for her innovative thinking and authenticity as a leader. She is passionate about advancing Bremer’s culture of collaboration and trust to elevate organizational performance. Her responsibilities include human resources strategy, organizational development, communications and change leadership, talent, employee relations, compensation, benefits and development for Bremer’s 1,600 employees in Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota.

Prior to being promoted to chief people and culture officer, Meghan was Bremer’s senior vice president and human resources director for the Twin Cities region. Before joining Bremer, Meghan held HR roles at Target Corporation, Tapemark Company and Lutheran Social Service, gaining two decades of expertise in organizational and business model transformation, business and HR strategy, leadership development, and succession planning. She earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Georgetown University, and a master’s in business administration from the University of St. Thomas.

Meghan has a long history of public service and community leadership and currently serves as a trustee for the Science Museum of Minnesota. Meghan previously served on the board of the Melpomene Institute Minneapolis and the Convent of the Visitation School. She also sat on advisory committees for Working Family Resource Center, the United Way’s Success by 6 and Minnesota School Readiness, and provided instruction for Minnesota Business Venture with Best Prep. A St. Paul native, Meghan is married with three children and two dogs. She enjoys global travel, live music and sports of all kinds.
