Tyler D. Offenhauser is a partner with the law firm Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara LLP in Newport Beach, California. He has over 20 years of experience in the legal industry with his practice focusing on the representation of personal clients, developers, general contractors and subcontractors in complex, multiparty construction litigation, products liability and general negligence. He performs risk assessment and risk transfer guidance to protect clients against errors by others to limit obligations and exposure to those operations that are controlled by the client. He counsels private clients in the review, drafting and negotiation of construction agreements and other risk transfer contracts.

Mr. Offenhauser also has vast expertise in matters concerning personal injury, wrongful death, catastrophic loss, product liability, premises liability, and automobile and trucking liability. He maintains a strong reputation among his clients and adversaries as an aggressive litigator. His approach to litigation enables him to “cut through” the often-times lengthy and costly mechanics of traditional litigation while at the same time providing his clients with the highest quality of legal representation and obtaining outstanding results. He has served as lead trial counsel and arbitration counsel in numerous matters. He is often asked on the eve of trial to litigate in Northern and Southern California in the counties of San Francisco, Oakland, Sacramento, Kern, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Orange and San Diego.

Mr. Offenhauser provides advice to private clients involving cost-effective litigation management and settlement negotiation techniques. His skills are honed to develop cost-effective strategy for clients with the handling of pre-litigated and litigated matters. He recently completed a 73-day binding arbitration involving a complex construction dispute on behalf of multiple clients and successfully defeated claims of negligence and requests for attorneys’ fees and costs.

Mr. Offenhauser obtained his law degree from American in 1996. He graduated from San Diego State University in 1991 after obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History. He is presently a Professor of Law at Coastline Community College and has held this position since 2005. He is admitted to practice before the California Supreme Court as well as the United States District Court, Central District. He is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, CLM, and the Robert A. Banyard Inn of Court.
