Marlaina Simmons

Marlaina Simmons currently serves as the Executive Assistant to the Superintendent at Bremerton School District, a position held since September 2023. Prior to this role, Marlaina was the Regional Lead at Peninsulas Early Childhood Coalition from January 2021 to September 2023 and the Program Operations Manager at One Heart Wild Education Sanctuary from November 2022 to August 2023. Marlaina's past experience also includes roles as Networks Coordinator and Graduate Kitsap and Mason Project Manager at Kitsap Strong from October 2016 to August 2022, and as the 2020 Census Coordinator at Kitsap Community Foundation from April 2020 to October 2020. Earlier in the career, Marlaina was the Regional Early Learning Coalition Program Manager at Olympic Educational Service District 114 from August 2010 to June 2016. Educationally, Marlaina holds a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services from Western Washington University, earned between 2008 and 2010.
