Toby Hinton

Toby​ ​Hinton​​ ​became​ ​vice​ ​president​ ​for​ ​financial​ ​services​ ​at​ ​Brenau​ ​University​ ​in​ ​2012. The​ ​South​ ​Carolina​ ​native​ ​is​ ​responsible​ ​for​ ​managing​ ​and​ ​supervising​ ​all​ ​fiduciary responsibilities​ ​of​ ​the​ ​university​ ​Business​ ​Office,​ ​as​ ​well​ ​as​ ​budget​ ​maintenance, financial​ ​reporting​ ​and​ ​cash​ ​flow​ ​management.​ ​Since​ ​joining​ ​Brenau,​ ​he​ ​has implemented​ ​several​ ​new​ ​financial​ ​systems​ ​for​ ​the​ ​university​ ​and​ ​was​ ​installed​ ​as member​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Georgia​ ​Nonpublic​ ​Postsecondary​ ​Education​ ​Commission​ ​by​ ​Governor Nathan​ ​Deal​ ​in​ ​January​ ​2015.​ ​Hinton​ ​previously​ ​served​ ​as​ ​an​ ​auditor​ ​for​ ​Metcalf​ ​Davis and​ ​Reed,​ ​Quinn​ ​and​ ​McClure​ ​and​ ​has​ ​been​ ​a​ ​certified​ ​public​ ​accountant​ ​in​ ​Georgia since​ ​1997.​ ​He​ ​received​ ​his​ ​bachelor’s​ ​degree​ ​in​ ​accounting​ ​from​ ​Presbyterian​ ​College.
