Michael Wilkop

Michael Wilkop is an experienced executive in the personal care and pharmaceutical industries, currently serving as President of Personal Care and HI&I EMEA at Brenntag Group since April 2010. Previously, Michael held key marketing roles within Brenntag Group, including Director of Marketing for Pharma & Cosmetics EMEA and Marketing Manager for the same segments. Before joining Brenntag, Michael had a brief tenure at BASF as Product Manager for UV-Protection following the acquisition of Ciba Specialty Chemicals. Michael's extensive career at Ciba spanned over a decade, where roles included Global Business Head for UV-Protection & Actives and various sales management positions. Early career experience includes leadership in research and development at Heitland & Petre GmbH. Michael holds a graduate engineer degree in the Technology of Cosmetics and Detergents from OWL University of Applied Sciences and furthered education at INSEAD and the University of St. Gallen.
