Alex Freeman

Alex Freeman currently serves as the Head of the Leader’s Office and Policy & Communications Adviser at Brent Council since September 2021. Previously, Alex held positions as Senior Private Secretary and Private Secretary at the Department of Health and Social Care for the NHS Test and Trace initiative from March 2021 to September 2021. Prior experience at Brent Council from September 2016 to March 2021 included working as a Political Assistant to the Labour Group, where responsibilities involved managing party interests, briefing members on local government issues, and policy development. Alex began a career in public service through the National Management Graduate scheme at the Local Government Association, with placements in various departments at the London Borough of Brent Council. Alex holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature with Education Studies from Durham University.
