Promise Knight

Promise Knight has extensive experience in leadership and community engagement, currently serving as Cabinet Lead for various departments at Brent Council since May 2018, including Customer Experience, Resident Support & Culture, Housing, Homelessness & Renters’ Security, and Community Safety & Engagement, alongside a role as Councillor for Stonebridge Ward. As a Co-Founding Trustee of the Promise Foundation since March 2013 and a former Organiser for Citizens UK, Promise Knight has demonstrated a commitment to social justice and community support. Previous roles include Parliamentary Assistant at the UK House of Lords and Administration & Research Assistant at Global Counsel. In addition to practical experience, Promise Knight is pursuing a part-time PhD in Education at the University of Cambridge, having already earned an MPhil in Public Policy and a BA in English from the same institution. Further education includes a Postgraduate Certificate in Community Organising from Queen Mary University of London.
