Ameesh Manek

Ameesh Manek has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Beginning in 1998, they worked as a Category Manager at Mitchells & Butlers until 2001. Ameesh then joined Barclays Bank, where they held multiple positions, including Global Development Manager, Director of Sourcing for Western Europe & Emerging Markets, and Director of Global Deals. In 2011, Ameesh pursued an Executive MBA at London Business School. From 2012 to 2015, they served as an Independent Board Director at Basketball England and acted as the CEO from May 2013 to November 2013. In 2014, they co-founded BBALL UK, a start-up focused on establishing a sustainable basketball ecosystem in the UK. Ameesh went on to work at Arsenal F.C from 2015 to 2020, initially as the Head of Academy Football Operations and later as the Head of 1st Team Football Operations. Ameesh then joined Finecast as the Senior Director of Global Strategy & Operations from 2021 to 2022. Currently, Ameesh is the Business Operations & Academy Director at Brentford Football Club.

Ameesh Manek pursued their education starting from 1987 to 1994 at Preston Manor High School. Following that, from 1994 to 1998, they attended Aston University, where they earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management. A few years later, from 2011 to 2013, Ameesh enrolled at the London Business School and successfully completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA). Recently, starting in 2021 and ending in 2023, they attended The Football Association for the Talent ID Level 5: Technical Director's Programme.
