Interim Finance Director at Brentford FC

Michael James has a strong background in finance, particularly in the football industry. Michael has served as the Interim Finance Director for Brentford Football Club since September 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the Interim Finance Director and Financial Consultant for International Venue Management Ltd from November 2019. From May 2018 to November 2019, Michael held the position of Financial Director at Mar-Key Group, where they implemented budgetary and financial control measures. Michael was Chief Financial Officer at Middlesbrough FC from November 2014 to December 2017, overseeing all financial matters during a period of growth for the club. Before their time at Middlesbrough FC, Michael was the Financial Director and Owner of Hadley Shopfitters, leading the MBO and managing high-quality commercial fit-out projects. Michael began their career as a Supervising Senior Auditor at KPMG from April 1990 to April 1992.
