Alison Gibbs

Alison Gibbs is very proud to be the Head of Finance and Risk at Brethertons. She joined Brethertons in May 2016, initially to work on finance transformation projects.

She was appointed as Head of the Finance and Risk practice area in March 2017. In early 2017, she was also approved by the Solicitors Regulation Authority to be the designated COFA for Brethertons (Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration).

Within my role, she lead a great team of 17 people, and together they work to protect and improve the financial health of Brethertons, providing accurate management information to support robust decision making and continual improvement, ensuring strong financial control and the management of risk to protect both the firm and customers’ money held in their client account.

Before joining Brethertons, she qualified as a chartered certified accountant in 2000 and became a fellow of the ACCA in 2005. She has over 30 years experience of working in finance, about 15 years in the legal industry, and over 25 years in management positions. She's been fortunate to have worked mainly within fast-paced, progressive companies.

She's passionate about personal development, and she believes that strong values and being happy in what they do are key to personal and professional success.
