Travis Carter

Travis Carter has over 20 years of experience in the field of public relations and media relations. Travis started their career as a Print News Reporter for The Daily Oklahoman, The Tulsa Tribune, and the Associated Press, where they gained valuable experience in journalism. Travis then worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas as an Account Executive, managing internal communications and regional media relations. Travis then moved on to Allstate Insurance, where they served as the Manager of Corporate Relations, overseeing media relations, executive communications, and crisis management for the company's Texas Region. Travis also directed national communication programs and public affairs at Allstate's corporate headquarters. Travis then joined Bickel & Brewer as the Senior Manager of Media & Community Relations, where they helped establish a practice group dedicated to providing communications counsel to the firm's clients. Travis also played a role in establishing the Future Leaders Program, an academic and leadership development initiative. Travis went on to start their own public relations firm, Carter Public Relations, Inc., which was recognized as the best public relations boutique in the nation in 2008. Most recently, Travis has been the Managing Director of Public Affairs at Brewer, Attorneys & Counselors, overseeing national media and public relations for the firm and its clients. Travis specializes in managing campaigns related to issues, crisis management, and proactive communications for Fortune 500 corporations, public interest organizations, and leading entrepreneurs.

Travis Carter completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Journalism & Mass Communications at the University of Oklahoma from 1988 to 1993. Later, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at The University of Dallas from 2000 to 2002.
