Mingjin Chang

Clinical Scientist at BriaCell Therapeutics

Mingjin Chang has a diverse background in the field of scientific research and pharmaceuticals. Most recently, they have been working as a Clinical Scientist at BriaCell Therapeutics Corp. since November 2021. Prior to that, they held a role as a Scientist at Teva Pharmaceuticals from 2019 to 2021.

Before their time at Teva Pharmaceuticals, Mingjin worked at Frontage Laboratories, Inc. from 2016 to 2019. Here, they held two significant roles, including Group Leader working at Janssen Pharmaceuticals, where they led a team of analysts and supported non-clinical PK and ADA activities. They also served as a Senior Scientist working at Janssen Pharmaceuticals, supporting Phase I-IV clinical studies and performing PK/PD analyses.

Earlier in their career, Mingjin gained experience at Johnson & Johnson as a Clinical Diagnostics professional, conducting clinical and pre-clinical studies on circulating tumor cells. They also worked at ProtTech, Inc. as a Protein Scientist/Group Leader, spearheading protein expression and purification efforts.

Prior to their industry experience, Mingjin worked at Case Western Reserve University as the Molecular Biology Core Facility Manager, providing services and custom-designed assays for investigators. They also worked as a Cancer Pharmacology Research Fellow during their time at the university.

Mingjin's earlier experience includes roles as a Graduate Research Associate in Hematology/Oncology at Loyola University Chicago and as a Graduate Research Associate at Tulane University. They began their career as a Research Associate at ITRI, where they focused on biomedical materials and tissue engineering.

Mingjin Chang holds a diverse and extensive education history. They pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Zoology from National Taiwan University from 1994 to 1998. Following this, they furthered their education by completing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Cell Biology and Immunology from the University of Tübingen between 1999 and 2002. Building upon their prior knowledge, they then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry at Tulane University from 2005 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Mingjin Chang also obtained a certification as a Molecular Biology Technologist (MB-ASCP) from the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) in April 2014.
