Chris Burke began their work experience in 1991 as an Accountant Trainee at PPT, where they worked until 1993. In 1997, they worked as an Accountant at EY for one year. From 1998 to 2005, they founded and served as the Managing Partner of C.R. Burke Consulting Pty Ltd, a niche Business and IT consultancy. During this time, they specialized in building bespoke complex trading applications, C-suite HR management information reporting tools, and managing large-scale change programs for clients such as ANZ, Westpac, Merrill Lynch, and Natwest (RBS). In 2018, they took on the role of CEO at HybridHero, and later became the Executive Chairman in 2022. HybridHero developed HotDeskPlus, a software product aimed at optimizing workspaces, reducing costs, and improving employee wellbeing and productivity. In 2020, they became the Managing Partner at Tatler Capital. Throughout their career, Chris Burke has worked with a range of clients and regions, including Australia and the UK.

Chris Burke has a diverse education history. In 1992, they began their undergraduate studies at La Trobe University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus on Law and Accounting. Chris completed their degree in 1996. Concurrently, in 1993, they started their certification journey with CPA Australia, working towards becoming a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA).
