Cora Brown has a wealth of experience in the field of software engineering and data science. Cora began their career in 2013 as a Student Researcher at Iowa State University. In 2014, they became a Program Assistant at Carleton College, where they coordinated program activities and managed day to day operations. Cora also held the role of Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota, where they researched flow problems involving liquid crystals and active particles, and led discussion sections for Calculus and other advanced math courses. In 2018, they were a Graduate Intern at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where they completed a project based on code verification of heat flow problems, and coauthored a paper with the results of the project. In 2019, they were a Data Science Intern at NextEra Analytics, and in 2020, they moved to C.H. Robinson, where they held the role of Data Scientist. Most recently, in 2022, they began their current role as Senior Software Engineer at Bridge Financial Technology.
Cora Brown completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Mathematics from Carleton College in 2014. Cora then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota, which they completed in 2020. In 2017, they also obtained a Nanodegree in Machine Learning Engineer from Udacity. In 2019, they obtained the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
