Wolfgang Haap

Wolfgang Haap is a distinguished scientist and group leader in medicinal chemistry at Roche, where responsibilities include leading a team focusing on artificial intelligence and augmented drug design, as well as overseeing oncology drug discovery. With extensive experience in research, Wolfgang has played a pivotal role in discovering clinical candidates in inflammation, neuroscience, and cardiovascular/metabolic diseases. Previous positions include senior scientist at Roche and laboratory head at Ciba, where efforts concentrated on novel antibacterials and combinatorial chemistry. Wolfgang also serves as an evaluation panel member for the BRIDGE Program and was an executive board member for the Swiss Industry Science Fund, promoting scientific excellence in research and education across prominent Swiss companies. Wolfgang holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Tübingen.
