Jovia Nierenberg

Jovia Nierenberg, PhD, MPH, serves as a Statistical and Human Geneticist at BridgeBio since April 2023. Prior to this role, Jovia held multiple positions at Biotech Connection - Bay Area, Inc., including VP of Consulting and Consulting Project Manager, where responsibilities included mentoring project managers and managing client relationships. While completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, Jovia conducted research in cancer genomic epidemiology and authored several publications. Jovia obtained a PhD in Epidemiology from Tulane University, where significant multi-omic research was conducted, in addition to serving as a teaching assistant. Earlier roles include managing disaster relief projects for the Borough of Union Beach and leading wilderness trips. Jovia's educational background also encompasses a Master of Public Health from Tulane University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of San Francisco.
