Andrew Steuter

As Vice President, Credit, Andrew leads the department responsible for all aspects of law firm credit.

Andrew started working with BridgePoint in August 2020 as a consultant before joining in a full-time capacity as Vice President, Credit in January 2022. Andrew has over 20 years experience in corporate debt and fixed income markets in Toronto and Chicago.

Andrew was a freelance corporate debt consultant for a number of years before connecting with BridgePoint. He has represented a number of small firms in various aspects of debt finance – from finding new sources of debt funding to dealing with existing lenders. Prior to that, Andrew held progressive credit positions at hedge funds (Sprott Inc., Polar Securities) and banks (RBC, BMO). Additionally, Andrew served on the board of Pinetree Capital in 2015 in conjunction with a forbearance agreement negotiated with its bondholders to manage repayment.

Andrew obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo in 1996, and a Master of Business Administration from McMaster University in 1998. He became a CFA Charterholder in 2002.
