Deon Tawas is currently serving as the President of PERMIAS Madison, overseeing the representation of Indonesian students and fostering international friendships on campus. Previously, Deon worked as a Sponsorship Officer at Solar Chapter, managing financial budgets for solar panel projects in rural Indonesia. Deon also holds the role of Student Leader at Bridges International, organizing social events and mentoring programs for international students. Additionally, Deon has gained sales and marketing experience through internships at Sherwin-Williams and Global Impex USA. As an Assistant Manager at Debeat Bali Musikindo, Deon contributed to strategic planning and partnership discussions with brand representatives, showcasing a talent for analysis and profit maximization.

The United States is home to nearly 1,000,000 international students and visiting scholars. It’s no stretch of the imagination to predict that many of the world's next generation of business, political and academic leaders will emerge from this elite group.
