Jordan Tyr has extensive work experience in the field of human resources and management. Jordan has worked for multiple companies, including Bridges to Change, Myers Container LLC, State Farm, Steelscape, and Torcroft LLC.
At Bridges to Change, Jordan held various roles, starting as an HR Generalist from November 2016 to July 2017. Jordan then became an HR Manager from July 2017 to September 2019, and finally assumed the position of Human Resources Director from September 2019 onwards.
Prior to Bridges to Change, Jordan worked at Myers Container LLC as an HR/Payroll Administrator in 2016. In this role, they provided support to the HR department, including compliance maintenance, personnel file management, HRIS system updates, benefit administration, recruiting, payroll processing, and AP/check run support.
Before joining Myers Container LLC, Jordan worked at State Farm as an Office Manager - Insurance Producer from July 2014 to May 2016. Additionally, they gained experience as an HR Assistant at Steelscape from December 2015 to March 2016. Earlier in their career, Jordan served as a Floor Manager at Torcroft LLC from August 2010 to November 2014.
Jordan Tyr holds an MBA and is also certified as a Senior Certified Professional by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP).
Jordan Tyr's education history begins with obtaining an Associate's Degree from Clark College between 2010 and 2013. Afterward, they attended Washington State University Vancouver from 2014 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor of Social Science with a focus on Personnel Psychology and Human Resources. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Washington State University, specializing in Finance from 2017 to 2019.
Aside from their formal education, Jordan Tyr also attended the People's Institute for Survival & Beyond in 2018 for the Undoing Racism Community Organizing Workshop.
In terms of additional certifications, Jordan Tyr received the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation from SHRM in December 2017. They also obtained certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention from the Crisis Prevention Institute in July 2017. Later, in November 2021, they completed the Compensation Immersion Program offered by WorldatWork.
