Hans Dorfi

Hans Dorfi is a seasoned engineering executive with extensive experience in the tire industry. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Product Development and Core Engineering at Bridgestone Americas since October 2017, Hans has previously held various leadership positions at Bridgestone, including Vice President of Core Engineering and Director of Digital Engineering. Prior to this, Hans contributed to Bridgestone Europe, where responsibilities included leading consumer tire development and digital solutions. Hans's academic contributions include adjunct faculty roles at the University of Akron, in addition to serving as President of The Tire Society, which focuses on advancing tire technology. Earlier career highlights include a role as a Principal Engineer at Hankook Tire, as well as a High Performance Computing Consultant at IBM. Hans holds a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University, alongside a Dipl Ing in Mechanical Engineering from Technische Universität Wien.
