Barry Holstein

Mr. Holstein’s professional career in the region has spanned more than 25 years and has primarily been in the field of manufacturing operations management with NGK Spark Plugs, Terramite and Gestamp. He currently works with the United States Department of the Treasury, where he uses his background and leadership to effect change for more efficient and effective government programs. Mr. Holstein served 21 years in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves, during which he served as Drill Sergeant, Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Specialist, Platoon Sergeant, Civil Affairs Operator and First Sergeant. He earned a Bronze Star service medal for his combat experience in Iraq. After his service, Mr. Holstein returned to West Virginia and has lived in Cross Lanes for the last 25 years. He graduated from West Virginia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology and earned a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Charleston. Mr. Holstein is currently a doctoral student in the Public Administration program at Liberty University.
