Laurie Barnes

Laurie Barnes is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as the Deputy General Counsel and Head of Employment and Litigation at Bridgewater Associates since April 2022. Prior to this role, Laurie held the same title at the University of Southern California from 2019 to 2022. Laurie's extensive experience also includes a position as Assistant Vice President and Senior Legal Counsel at AT&T from 2010 to 2019, along with a brief tenure as a Sr. Associate at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP in 2010. Laurie's legal career began as an Associate at Seyfarth Shaw LLP from 2004 to 2010. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor degree from USC Gould School of Law and an undergraduate degree earned cum laude from Northwestern University, in addition to a foundation from Harvard-Westlake School.
