Mark D. Carmody is an accomplished higher education professional with extensive experience in operations and facilities management. Currently serving as the Associate Vice President for Operations at Bridgewater State University since February 2020, Carmody previously held the position of Assistant Vice President for Operations at the same institution, where leadership was provided across multiple departments, including Facilities Management and Environmental Health and Safety. Prior to that, Carmody served as Associate Vice President of Administration & Facilities at Bristol Community College and as the Director of Facilities at Montgomery College's Rockville Campus. With roles at The University of Scranton, including Director of Facilities Operations and Assistant Physical Plant Director for Student Housing, along with service as an Army Officer, Carmody has cultivated a strong foundation in operational leadership. Academically, Carmody holds an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership and Higher Education Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, an MBA from Troy University, and bachelor’s and associate degrees in Business Administration and Agriculture Business, respectively.
