Matt Miller

Matt Miller has extensive work experience in the field of student engagement and leadership. Matt began their career in 2002 as an Admissions Graduate Assistant at Northeastern University. From there, they served as an Orientation Graduate Intern at The Catholic University of America in 2003 and continued their graduate internships at Northeastern University and Boston University in the following year.

In 2004, Matt Miller joined Bridgewater State University as an Assistant Director of Student Involvement and Leadership. Matt held this role until 2014 when they were promoted to Associate Director, where they provided vision for student-focused campus events and oversaw department business operations. In 2020, Matt became the Director of the Center for Student Engagement, where they are responsible for leading the department and supervising a team of full-time staff and student employees.

In addition to their roles at Bridgewater State University, Matt has also been involved with the National Association for Campus Activities. Matt served as the National Volunteer Development Coordinator from 2014 to 2016 and has been a member of the Education Advisory Group since 2017. Currently, they hold the position of Education Advisory Group Chair.

Matt Miller's expertise in student engagement and leadership is evidenced by their extensive experience and continuous involvement in professional organizations and roles.

Matt Miller holds a M.S. degree in Applied Educational Psychology: College Student Development and Counseling from Northeastern University, which they earned from 2002 to 2004. Matt also completed their B.A. in Economics at Drew University from 1997 to 2001. Prior to that, they obtained their secondary education diploma from Newton High School from 1993 to 1997. In addition, they received an Instructor Certificate in Strengths Based Education from Gallup in 2015.
