Matthew Prahl has a diverse work experience in the mental health field. Matthew started their career in 2003 as a Casemanager at Vinfen Corporation, where they worked until 2004. In the same year, they joined Bridgewell as a START Clinician before transitioning to the role of Mental Health Therapist, which they held until the present. In 2013, they were promoted to Assistant Director of Clinical Services at Bridgewell, and in 2020, they took on the role of Director of Clinic Operations. Additionally, they worked as a Mental Health Therapist at Center for Health Resources from 2009 to 2010.
Matthew Prahl has a strong educational background in psychology and mental health counseling. Matthew began their education at Caesar Rodney High School, where they received their High School Diploma in 1998. Matthew then attended Eastern Nazarene College from 1998 to 2002, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology. Matthew continued their studies at Capella University from 2002 to 2004, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Psychology. Seeking further advancement in their field, they attended Salem State University from 2008 to 2010 and obtained a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor.
In addition to their formal education, Matthew Prahl has also obtained several certifications to enhance their expertise. These certifications include Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) from Massachusetts Health and Human Services, Licensed Mental Health Counselor from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, National Certified Counselor from the National Board for Certified Counselors and Affiliates, and National Provider Identification from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
