Alex Folkerts

Alex Folkerts has a range of work experience, starting from their most recent position as a Social Media Coordinator at Brigade since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Social Media Account Coordinator at Gelia from May 2021 to February 2023. They also served as a Public Relations Manager at the UNC Undergraduate Senate from July 2020 to May 2021. Additionally, they gained experience as a Public Relations Intern at the Marbles Kids Museum from September 2020 to November 2020. Before that, they worked as a Barista at Barnes & Noble, Inc. from September 2019 to October 2020. Alex also served as the Summer Programming Sub-Committee Chair at the Residence Hall Association at UNC Chapel Hill from May 2020 to July 2020. They gained early work experience as a Restaurant Crew Member at McDonald's from July 2017 to July 2020. Lastly, they served as a Break the Majority Intern at the North Carolina Democratic Party from August 2018 to November 2018.

Alex Folkerts completed a Bachelor's degree in Advertising and Public Relations from UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. They attended these institutions from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, Alex attended Alamance-Burlington Early College High School from 2015 to 2019. In addition to their education, Alex also obtained certifications in Advanced Google Analytics, Google Analytics for Beginners, Role of Content Exam, and SEO Fundamentals Exam from institutions such as Google and Semrush in 2022.
