Patrick Nelsen

Patrick Nelsen has extensive work experience in engineering roles. Patrick is currently serving as the Director of Engineering at BrightAI since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked at SmartThings, where they held several positions including Director of Engineering - Hub Platform from August 2020 to February 2021, Engineering Manager/Team Lead from February 2017 to August 2020, and Senior Firmware Engineer from November 2014 to February 2017. Before joining SmartThings, they worked at LS Research as a Sr. Software Engineer from October 2013 to November 2014. Patrick also served at Spectrum Design Solutions as a Senior Software Engineer from December 2011 to September 2013 and as a Software Engineer from February 2008 to December 2011.

Patrick Nelsen attended the University of Minnesota Duluth from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
