Tariq Ali

Tariq Ali has a comprehensive work experience in the field of life sciences and biotechnology. Tariq is currently the CEO and Co-founder of Molgenics Life Sciences, a position they have held since July 2021. Prior to that, they served as the COO and Co-founder of Bright Biotech starting from October 2019.

Tariq also has experience as the CEO and Co-founder of BiOspace from October 2017 to March 2023. Before entering the entrepreneurial sphere, they worked at Protein Technologies Limited, where they held the role of Chief Scientific Officer from January 2014 to March 2023 and Principal Investigator from March 2011 to January 2014.

Furthermore, Tariq Ali has academic experience from their role as a Wellcome Trust Research Associate at the University of Oxford. During their time there from March 2002 to July 2006, they focused on recombinant expression of cysteine-rich proteins and the structure of the large-latent TGF-β1 complex, with a particular emphasis on understanding Marfan's disease. Tariq also contributed to establishing new standard operating procedures for protein expression and purification processes.

Tariq Ali completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from UCL from 1994 to 1997. Later, they pursued a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Cambridge from 1997 to 2001.
